CTC Group signs contract for the 1st Oracle Core Banking Application in Sudan

CTC Group, an Oracle Golden Partner, hosted the signing ceremony between Oracle Financial Services Software Limited, represented by Mr. Lucky Sharma – Director East Africa, Profinch, represented by its CEO, Mr. Kiran Kumar,  and Al Nile Bank for Commerce and Development to implement the 1st ever Oracle core banking application (Oracle Flex-Cube) in Sudan.

Oracle Financial Services Software Limited is a subsidiary of Oracle Corporation, an IT solution provider to the banking industry with more than 900 customers in 145 countries around the globe with revenues of USD45.2 billion. The event which took place on 16th December 2019 at the CTC Group Complex comes after years of trade embargoes on the provision of US technology services to Sudan.

The entry of Oracle Corporation into the Sudanese financial services solutions market is considered an important step on the path towards the normalizaton of Sudan’s economic relations with the rest of the world, and follows the recent efforts of Sudan’s government to showcase the new Sudan and to invite global corporations to do business with, and invest in, Sudan.

Al Nile Bank, which recently celebrated 30 years of providing financial services to customers in Sudan, will be installing the Oracle Flex-Cube alongside Oracle implementation partner Profinch’s data platform FinCluez and automation platform FinFlowz.

The event was attended by Mr. Ahmed Alhouri – GM, Al Nile Bank, Eng. Omer Omerabi, GM Electronic Banking Services Co. [EBS] as well as Eng. Muhammed Abass, ICT Director at CTC Group and Eng. Nazar Salih – GM, ICT directorate at CTC Group.
