In November 2015, CTC Group sponsored and hosted the first ever Sudanese private sector funded US Congressional Delegation visit to Sudan in partnership with a leading US based think tank, the Humpty Dumpty Institute. The delegation with high ranking members of congress visited Sudan at a critical time in US – Sudan relations, occurring at the start of the 5 track process for normalisation of relations between Sudan and the United States of America, a process that culminated in the lifting of the 20 years of US sanctions on Sudan in October 2017.
